Their main difference lies in the height of the moldboard and the reinforcement grid on the back of the moldboard, only present on LSA models which, due to the widths available in the range, are more suitable for coupling with large skid-steer loaders and small to medium-sized loaders and backhoe loaders.

 

The right calendering of the moldboard makes it possible to get unrivalled efficacy during snow removal operations thanks to a whirling motion from the bottom up that facilitates the side exit of the snow collected, thus avoiding an unpleasant “dozer effect”.

 

In addition to the horizontal self-leveling function, both series have an important feature, namely a spring-return antishock system on the moldboard which is very useful when working on a road surface covered in snow. In this case, if the blade accidentally encounters an obstacle, such as a curb, the moldboard bends forward but, thanks to the back springs, immediately returns to its initial position.

 

In addition, the two models feature fixing rods that make it possible to turn the snow blades into dozer blades, which are useful to perform small backfilling and excavation works, thus transforming a typically winter tool into a machine that can be used all year round!

The range of Snow Blades manufactured by U.Emme is wide and includes variable set-up V- plows, snow blades with antishock system on individual sectors, and blades with antishock system on the entire moldboard.

 

In particular, by means of specific devices, it is possible to turn these blades into Dozer Blades that can be used all year round and not just in winter.

 

Let’s take a closer look at these Snow Blades.

 

The LS/LSA SNOW BLADES feature a moldboard calendering system that makes it possible to remove the snow through a whirling motion from the bottom up, facilitating the side exit of the snow collected. In addition to the horizontal self-levelling feature, both models are equipped with a spring-return antishock system, fixing rods to override the antishock system to carry out small backfilling operations, and hydraulic cylinders to angle the blade left or right.

 

The LSV SNOW BLADES are perfect to be coupled with large industrial and farming machines. They are equipped with horizontal self-levelling feature, spring-return antishock system on three lower sectors of the blade, and hydraulic cylinders to angle the blade left or right provided with antishock valve.

 

Each type of mounting plate is secured to the snow blade with attachment bolts. Finally, the range of Snow Blades by U.Emme also includes V-TYPE SNOWPLOWS featuring five different options of working setup: 35° angle to the left or right, horizontal, wedge, or spoon. The two robust wings can be independently moved by means of two double-effect hydraulic cylinders.

 

These V-plows are equipped with horizontal self-levelling feature and spring-return antishock system on two sectors of the blade. The standard equipment is supplied by four hydraulic lines. However, a kit is also available with solenoid valve to split the hydraulic circuit and hence use only one inlet and one outlet port.

Within the range of products offered by U.Emme, there are two types of Cement Mixers Condor, one with central unload and another with side unload.

 

Very much appreciated both in Italy and abroad, both Cement Mixers are ideal to manufacture fresh cement in any conditions in an extremely easy, effective, and quick manner. All the Cement Mixers Condor with Central Unload are equipped with powerful orbital motors manufactured by Char-Lynn EATON, an industry-leading US company. In particular, the moldboard and the mixing helixes are made of abrasion resistant steel, i.e. HARDOX 450, standard on the 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, and 350 models.

 

The standard equipment of the Central Unload Cement Mixers includes a 12V or 24V electrically controlled solenoid valve, a hydraulic cylinder for opening the discharge nozzle with protected shaft along with a discharge nozzle with safety grid, a swiveling discharge tube, and a protection grid. More specifically, this protection grid has a bag breaker which is bolted as standard, but can also be specified with a manual or hydraulic opening system.

 

The manual version has a practical and safe configuration, as the grid is hinged on the top and has a handle on the bottom to easily release it, while the opening is assisted by gas shock-absorbers that act as supports for the grid itself. The hydraulic version does not feature the handle and the grid is opened by hydraulic cylinders controlled by an additional solenoid valve. Both the version with manual opening system and the one with hydraulic opening system feature a safety interlock switch that prevents the rotation of the screw shaft when the grid is opened.

 

The Cement Mixers Condor SL with Side Unloading have the same features described above but with a few additions that make them even more performing. First, the Side Unloading Buckets are designed to improve safety on construction sites thanks to the possibility to connect the cement discharge tube to the nozzle by lifting the cement mixer without having to stand underneath it.

 

The qualities of the Condor SL series include: the ability to create a homogeneous mixture, also at full load, without displacing it to the right or to the left depending on the rotational direction of the screw shaft; the ability to unload the mixture in a very short time (less than one minute); and the ability to empty the moldboard completely.

The project indeed consisted in the installation of 236 410Wp solar panels at the company’s headquarters with a view to ensuring optimum use of our natural energy sources, starting with solar power.

 

Improving energy efficiency means making a rational use of energy in order to avoid or at least minimize waste. It has been estimated that the installation of this photovoltaic system will result in 120,478kWh of electricity generation and a reduction of CO2 emissions of about 46.03 tons per year.

The range of products manufactured and sold by our company includes two important pieces of equipment designed to meet the needs of customers who want to equip their machines with tools able to trim or shape hedges or to perform light pruning operations on fruit trees in the farming sector.

 

The Hedge Trimmers HT and HTX by U.Emme are the perfect allies to carry out any operations related to gardening, pruning, and the maintenance of green areas.

 

Extremely accurate and precise, the Hedge Trimmers HT and HTX are equipped with a cutter bar as standard with individually replaceable bolted sawtooth blades which, thanks to their special serration, have a higher cutting capacity than any other product available on the market.

 

The HT model has a cutting diameter of 30 millimeters, while the HTX has a cutting diameter of 60 millimeters. An important feature to highlight is that the cutter is operated by two different motors.

 

The HT model is equipped with an orbital piston motor, whereas the HTX model features an axial piston motor with flywheel and a rod device with double damping springs.

 

This allows machines that have an operating weight above 3 tons and a hydraulic system with a flow rate above 20l/min to use these hedge trimmers in an effective, and above all, reliable manner.

Versatile yet accurate, the Cobra grader has been designed and perfected for more than 20 years to ensure an increasingly better work experience. Two pairs of powerful hydraulic cylinders control the rotating and tilting movements of the levelling blade so that it can provide optimum performance in any operating conditions.

Our products indeed benefit from the use of the Hardox® wear plate, which improves essential components and features.

 

More specifically, the CONDOR and CONDOR SL series of Cement Mixers – with models ranging from CONDOR 100 to CONDOR 350 – feature moldboard and mixing helixes made of Hardox® precisely to slow down the wear of the two assemblies caused by the mixing of aggregates and cement. The sweepers of the MANTA HD/HD-R series feature Hardox® slides bolted under the collector bucket. These structures have a wear-resistant function, meaning that they prevent the abrasion of the bottom of the collector bucket caused by the friction with the road surface.

 

Finally, the Snow Blowers of the YETI STD, YETI HD, and YETI HD-I series also feature Hardox® components. The icebreaker helices of these snow blowers are entirely made in Hardox® to avoid the abrasion caused by impact with gravel and chippings mixed with snow and to maintain the same toughness even at low temperatures.

The installation of solar parks is an increasingly popular choice all over the world as the common goal is to focus on environmental sustainability, while trying to reduce the costs of electricity generation.

 

Setting up and installing a solar park entails considerable expenses. Hence, the ideal solution is to try and preserve the features and quality of the plant for as long as possible.

 

Our company met this need by designing an attachment, that is now back in stock, which allows excavator owners to equip their machine in such a way as to clean their solar park easily and effectively. This idea led to the development of Manta Solar, our range of rotary sweepers. These sweepers can be operated manually, while ensuring a high level of safety thanks to a position detection system with ultrasonic sensors.

 

Manta Solar will keep the performance of the solar park at optimum levels, by working quickly and effectively. Based on our past experience, we can state that in an easily accessible solar park (i.e. flat ground with at least 3m between rows) it is possible to clean approximately 1MW of moderately dirty solar panels in one working day.

 

Back on the U.Emme catalog since the beginning of 2023, Manta Solar is provided with a light alloy rotor with brushes made of Carlite®, a special patented anti-scratch, wear resistant, and waterproof material.

 

The standard equipment include:

Three bars with spray nozzles used for pre-washing, moistening, and rinsing

Oil flow and pressure regulating valve

Digital and ultrasonic sensor kits for position detection installed on both sides

More specifically, thanks to the position detection system operators can take full advantage of Manta Solar as the system allows them to easily read the distance and inclination of the brush relative to the area being cleaned, and hence correct its positioning if necessary, and warns them if they are getting too close via light and sound alert signals.

 

Manta Solar can be mounted on excavators from 4 tons of operating weight and includes a wide range of accessories such as: a platform-mounted 1000L water tank; forklifts with adjustable slot for lifting the water tank; and a watering kit with electric pumps, filters, hoses, and electrical cables.
