Our company is extremely careful when it comes to choosing the raw material we use to build products that can guarantee exceptional and highly-professional performance.

 

More specifically, thanks to our collaboration with SSAB, we can include in the raw material we use for production the Hardox® wear plate, the world’s leading steel with excellent structural properties.

 

Abrasion resistant and with a nominal hardness of 450HBW, Hardox® can provide maximum durability and great performance even in extreme working conditions.

 

Choosing the Hardox® wear plate means ensuring the success of the product we are going to develop, as the use of this material makes it possible to improve the product performance and increase its operational life.

 

The extreme abrasion resistance of this particular type of steel is a strategic factor because by increasing the equipment useful life twofold, fivefold, tenfold, or even more, productivity increases along with savings.

 

The unique combination of hardness, toughness, and structural strength offered by Hardox® – from the surface to its core – allows components and structures to resist to the wear caused by continuous contact with rocks, sand, gravel, and hard and abrasive materials such as asphalt or cement.

 

At U.Emme we decided to use Hardox® because it’s the best in terms of quality, performance, and reliability.

 

Our products indeed benefit from the use of the Hardox® wear plate, which improves essential components and features.

 

More specifically, the CONDOR and CONDOR SL series of Cement Mixers – with models ranging from CONDOR 100 to CONDOR 350 – feature moldboard and mixing helixes made of Hardox® precisely to slow down the wear of the two assemblies caused by the mixing of aggregates and cement. The sweepers of the MANTA HD/HD-R series feature Hardox® slides bolted under the collector bucket. These structures have a wear-resistant function, meaning that they prevent the abrasion of the bottom of the collector bucket caused by the friction with the road surface.

 

Finally, the Snow Blowers of the YETI STD, YETI HD, and YETI HD-I series also feature Hardox® components. The icebreaker helices of these snow blowers are entirely made in Hardox® to avoid the abrasion caused by impact with gravel and chippings mixed with snow and to maintain the same toughness even at low temperatures.
